SOCIAL NETWORKING AS AN EDUCATIONAL TOOL

The interaction between learners and teachers occurs with the help of Web 2.0 tools that are primarily responsible for the formation of social networks. These applications allow users to cooperate and connect, generating, and developing knowledge and material, and allowing them to gain 21st-century skills. According to Oblinger's (2005) study, millennial learners are capable of multitasking rather than focusing on a single activity. Instead of reading, they prefer to learn through visual and auditory materials such as pictures, sounds, and movies. Also, students learn more effectively if they work in groups and engage with their classmates rather than working alone.
