CREATING A MINDMAP: EFFECTIVE WAY OF VISUALIZING LECTURES!

Hey, awesome readers! Ever heard of mind-maps? Wondering how to use them in your classes, even online? Let's dive in!

A mind map, which is a graphical representation, is composed of a central theme and thinking of new and related ideas which radiate out from the center. Recalling and retaining the information can be provided with mind maps on most of the lectures. By looking at the key ideas/words and the connection between them, students can visualize whatever he wants. So, it will be beneficial for internalizing the lecture topics and details easily. It can be both on paper and web environments.

You can find as many mind map sites as you want! Canva, MindMeister, FreeMind, Popplet, LucidChart, Scapple, Bubbl.us, and MindManager are some examples to these websites. If you ask my choice, it is “Canva”. With the Canva platform, you can create various mind maps on any topic. It is easier to use, just log in and start your work. When you search “mind map” on site, there will be numerous templates to work on. You will handle it easily & quickly without help.

In my work, "Learning Theories Timeline" is the center of the map. It is divided into decades, and then to the years. You can see the theories and their pioneers from 60's to 2020.
